Apple has built a\u00a0(good) habit of updating or releasing new colors when announcing every other\u00a0new iPhone. With iPhone 7, that’s the new “Black” and “Jet Black”. Let’s see them in photos!<\/p>\n

With the iPhone 5S, Apple introduced the new “Gold” color, while replacing\u00a0the darker black of the iPhone 5 with a “Space Grey” color.\u00a0The iPhone 6S came with an all-new “Rose Gold” color which looked a nice copper-pinkish.<\/p>\n

With the iPhone 7, Apple is keeping Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver, while replacing “Space Grey” with Black. In addition to these four colors, there’s a lovely new color called “Jet Black”. All of these colors will be available in Pakistan!<\/p>\n

iPhone 7 Black vs. Jet Black<\/h3>\n

In the photo above, you can see the iPhone 7 Plus in Black with matte finish (bottom), and the iPhone 7 in Jet Black finish (top).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If you want to visualize the iPhone 7’s Black color, just imagine the iPhone 6 or 6S’ Space Grey color, only a lot darker. People who have seen the phone in person i.e. have hands-on experience say it’s even darker than it looks like in photos. This is exactly what a ton of people have been clamoring for ever since Apple lightened the black color of the iPhone 5 when introducing the iPhone 5S.<\/p>\n

I personally will be getting the iPhone 7 in the simple matte Black color as described above.<\/p>\n

For people who are attracted by the “coolness” factor: consider the all-new Jet Black color. Jet Black is a shiny, glossy black that looks simply incredible.\u00a0People who have held it say it is the best feeling iPhone too.<\/p>\n

However, there’s a problem with the Jet Black iPhone 7<\/strong>: it scratches easily. Apple has openly stated on their official iPhone 7 page<\/a> at the bottom:<\/p>\n

The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In simpler words: the jet black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will show small scratches on it as you use it, and you should get a protective case for it.<\/p>\n

If you agree with Apple, then… that’s counter-productive, no? You’ll be buying a new iPhone 7 color only to use a case with it that hides all its outward beauty.<\/p>\n

The fact that the Jet Black is available only in 128GB and 256GB configurations makes it difficult to convince most people, too. The base 32GB model will be more than enough for most people, including me.<\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> go for the matte Black instead of the Jet Black.<\/p>\n
