One of the world’s most well-known smartphone manufacturers, HTC has a knack of producing some of the very best smartphones in the business. After the tremendous successes of its One M series, the Taiwanese giants have taken a step sideways to introduce a mid-range smartphone in the form of the HTC One X9. It’s a brilliant mix of specifications that are eye-catching to say the least.

Body and Display

The HTC One X9’s exterior features a metallic unibody which absolutely feels great to touch and a touchscreen with capacitive buttons at its bottom on the front. Metallic unibodies have indeed become the darling of HTC phones ever since the titanic explosion of the HTC One M7, M8 etc. and the company  has done brilliantly well to integrate the same material into this mid-ranger.

The display is certainly a cause for celebration because it supports a big 5.5 inches Super LCD capacitive touchscreen with a decent 401ppi pixel density. 1080p resolution is also a cornerstone of this tremendous touchscreen all in all resulting in a beautiful display made even better through the HTC sense UI. The dimensions are pretty good too and the 8mm width is sleek indeed.

Camera

The feedback regarding HTC’s cameras has always been fantastic. The cameras in the One X9 are no different as both of its cameras provide competitive photography. The primary camera boasts a 13 megapixel, f/2.0 aperture lens with optical image stabilization or OIS. The dual-tone LED flash makes for even brighter pictures and you no longer need to be afraid of the dark.

The secondary camera features a satisfying 5 megapixel sensor which should provide enough quality to cater for good selfies.

Hardware and Software

The HTC One X9 runs the latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow through the help of a powerful 2.2 GHz Octa-core processor with a supportive 3GB of RAM. With this amount of power, lag would find it really hard to creep in. The internal storage banks at a satisfying 32GB which is more than enough for an average user. Other than these, fast charge capability and stereo speakers are its other notable mentions.
