The Chinese have found the formula to capture a big chunk of the Android smartphone market by not only making phones for other manufacturers but producing some very affordable good specifications phones themselves and Lenovo is doing just that. They are one of the fastest growing Chinese smartphone manufacturers and their phones are continuing to dominate the mid-range and low-end market. The A6000 is no exception. It is a bit of an all-round device that targets the low-end market and does a great job at it.

The A6000 comes with Android v4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, and has LTE, 3G and 2G network capabilities. It is a Dual SIM setup with a 5” HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display that is quite a screen for a device as affordable as it is. It runs the Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI and supports multi touch as well. The phone comes with 8 gigs of internal memory and is expandable via a dedicated microSD slot that can go up to 32 gigs of memory.

The A6000 may be a low-end device but it boasts a chipset from one of the most renowned chipset makers in the industry. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 which is powered by a Quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It also has an Adreno 306 graphics unit running alongside and 1 GB of RAM. The RAM is the only component which may fail at ensuring a smooth experience, but the device is still very powerful for its stature.

The camera is quite the performer with a wide aperture of f/2.0 that takes great photos in outdoors with a nice depth of field. The 8 megapixels sensor also has an LED flash along with it. The front facing camera is a 2 megapixels sensor that isn’t bad itself.

The phone has Dolby Digital Plus sound which is a plus for the music lovers, adding more to the affordable price tag of the device. It has a removable 2300 mAh battery that can easily last a day and since it is removable, it can be replaced if it starts giving less than substantial timings.
