After a couple of years of through planning and reviewing their past experiences, Motorola is coming back with a bang. The smartphone manufacturer has lost a lot of its previous mettle but after some stunning releases which include the Moto M among a host of other smartphones, we could just see the company rise from its ashes like a phoenix. Hopefully, the Motorola G5 will also give it a helping hand to rise above those ashes of dormancy.

Build quality and display

The Motorola G5 mirrors typically to most other Motorola devices because of its signature dual front grill speakers design. The display resides peacefully in between them while plastic comprises of a large proportion of the smartphone’s build. Its dimensions aren’t the most pleasing with a width in excess of 8mm but it feels lighter than expected due to its plastic exterior. 

The smartphone’s display features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi pixel density. Allowing a 1080p HD resolution, we’ve got no reservations about its crisp prowess and we’d advise you to chill as your graphical experience on the G5 will be of the highest order.

Cameras

The smartphone features two powerful cameras in the form of a Hulk-like 16 megapixel primary sensor with a dual-tone LED flash and customary features which include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and auto-HDR. The secondary camera tries its bit to ensure that your photo and videography is covered spectacularly from all fronts as its 5 megapixel sensor looks finely poised to dance to the music.

Build quality and display

If we haven’t mentioned this before, the G5 has an elder sibling known as the G5 Plus. The smartphones’ differ by their primary cameras and the amount of RAM they support whereas everything else is at a 19/20 difference. The G5 is powered by an Octa-Core processor with either 2-3 gigs of RAM while its internal storage banks at either 16/32 GB with an external memory card slot also in attendance.

Dual-SIM capability is also available while a non-removable battery and two color schemes (black/white) are its other notable mentions. Definitely an excellent package for the amount of money it commands!
