Keeping-up with modern smartphone trends, QMobile released a Lite version of the A1 in the form of the A1 Lite. The smartphone commands a price-tag of 23,000 rupees which puts the device into higher QMobile categories.

Okay-ish design with improved build quality

The smartphone features a much changed design compared to its more powerful counterpart; we’re looking at capacitive buttons instead of a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, similar mix of metal and hard plastic for its exterior as well as an acceptable 8.0mm width. Its 182g weight however is tremendously obese.

A shout-out for the large screen lovers; the smartphone features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 320ppi pixel density. Narrowly missing out on a 1080p HD resolution, its 720p will do well however.

Who dares call the A1 Lite, Lite?

With two beastly camera sensors, one has to wonder how the QMobile A1 Lite can be termed a Lite smartphone. The primary camera features a large 13 megapixel sensor with an LED flash while its selfie camera, standing at 20 megapixels with its own LED flash, is probably one of the biggest sensors in the market.

Complementary hardware

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM. That’s adequate power to run the built-in Android Nougat while 32 gigs of internal storage, external card-slot, back-mounted fingerprint scanner, a huge 4000 mAh battery and 2 colour schemes are all what the A1 Lite is about.
