QMobile’s naming scheme isn’t one of the best and with the King Kong Max, it won’t get any further favors. Featuring a starting price of 18,500 rupees and already in the market shelves since mid-February 2017, don’t be fooled by the King Kong Max’s name just yet.

Boring old design but a satisfactory display

Featuring a 5.3 inches display with 277ppi pixel density, the smartphone produces a satisfying 720p resolution. We’re optimistic about its graphics but when it comes to its design, the smartphone is a carbon copy of many Huawei devices, particularly the Honor 4C albeit featuring more metal. An 8.3mm width and a 175g weight rounds-off its unimpressive dimensions.

The cameras give no reason to complaint

That’s because the primary sensor features loads of power in its 13 megapixel sensor as well as all customary features that include geo-tagging, touch-focus, face-detection, HDR and panorama. The selfie sensor features 5 megapixels which is at-least what we expected it to be. Despite that, we’ll the give the cameras an 8/10.

The name’s Max, King Kong Max

The smartphone definitely mirrors King Kong’s power as it’s powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core processor with an additional 3GB of RAM. That’s definitely what the Android Marshmallow requires to run smoothly and a near lag-free user experience is guaranteed. 32 gigs of internal storage is also a massive plus point. Speaking of massive, the device features a 4000 mAh battery that’s full of juice to at-least last a day with good usage. Its other notable mentions include dual-SIM capability and an external card slot.
