The Samsung A series is a mid-range set of smartphones that provide specs just below flagship capabilities but also give a much lighter price tag. Every year, a newer and improved version is released. A9 is the new - as well as largest - addition to the family. The Galaxy A9 Pro provides an edge compared to the A9.

The Galaxy A9 Pro is one huge phone. It's bigger than the Galaxy Note 6 It is heavy as well at 210g which will make your life difficult while using it with one hand. As always, Samsung?s design language remains pretty much the same. The polished back panel really looks good. The curved bezels complement the glossy finish. I have to say, it has a luxurious design.

 

For a gigantic body, you?ll need a big screen. Evidently it comes with a 6? super AMOLED display with 367 PPI. The Full HD display boasts vibrant colors and sharpness beyond compare. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for all the clumsy users - like this writer - out there.  

The Galaxy A9 Pro houses a 16 MP and 8 MP back and front camera respectively. Both cameras have a f/1.9 aperture, resulting in clear image quality in low-light conditions. Image quality is top notch in well-lit conditions as well. Both cameras have the ability to shoot 1080p video. 

The big size does have one major benefit, and that is the 5000 mAh battery. This battery will not disappoint you for quite some time. It has a Quad-Core 1.8 GHz and a Quad-Core 1.4 GHz processor. The Galaxy A9 Pro has 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion. The 4GB RAM allows sublime performance and multitasking becomes smooth.

 

The A9 Pro runs on Android 6.0.1 right from the get-go. Along with the TouchWiz UI, it works like a knife cutting through butter. It also has a fingerprint scanner, which isn?t lightning quick but is good enough for users who aren?t too finicky. NFC and fast charging capabilities are nice add-ons.
