Samsung and Sony have worked on similar lines. Year in year out, Sony has been producing beautiful smartphones that range from flagships to the more affordable ones. Sony and Samsung have both played a major role in making smartphones accessible to people who cannot afford expensive ones. Kudos to them for that!

Sony has developed into one of the most vibrant smartphone producers in the world. Although my personal experience with the Sony Xperia SP wasn’t good at all, it was a beautiful phone to look at. From its premier Z series to the smaller E series, Sony’s phones have always had that touch of beauty in them. They’re okay performance wise but have nice displays and cameras.

The Sony Xperia E4 falls in the category of the more affordable phones. It has been designed to give users the maximum from minimum cash spent. This is signified by the fact that the Xperia E4 is bolstered by a 5.0 inches 220 ppi pixel density IPS capacitive touchscreen protected by Sony’s favorite, scratch resistant glass.

Performance wise, the E4 is good but expecting it to not lag sooner or later is like expecting rain in the desert. While the Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor powered by 1GB of RAM may seem enough to give you a nice experience, it won’t prevent lag later on. Storage won’t be an issue as it has 8GB of internal storage and can be beefed up to 32GB to give you sufficient space to enjoy your music, movies etc.

Coming to its cameras. The Xperia E4 houses a 5 megapixels primary camera and a 2 megapixel secondary camera. 5 megapixels on 5 inches of screen will probably not yield the best of results but Sony’s prowess in producing good cameras might come into play here. The phone is run by Android v4.4.4 Kitkat and offers Dual SIM functionality ensuring you won’t need to buy another phone if you’ve got two functional SIM cards.

The Xperia E4 is good enough when it comes to what it offers in its price group. A big screen is its greatest plus as you don’t really find 5.0 inches Sony touchscreens in this amount of cash!
