One of Huawei’s earliest, the Honor 3X G750 is the company’s compromise between a phablet and a smartphone. The smartphone was one of Huawei’s earliest experimentations with larger screen sizes and fortunately, the 3X G750 received a fine response from the smartphone world. This paved the way for Huawei to step up their interest in large displays and ultimately develop beasts such as the Ascend Mate7 and Mate8 among numerous others.

The 3X G750 however is no comparison to the above mentioned smartphones particularly as it was released earlier than these but when comparing it to the smartphones at the time of its birth such as Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, Galaxy S4 etc. it was surely a force to be reckoned with.

The 3X G750 or also known as Ascend G750 does not have the most elegant or intuitive of builds. Neither does its design give it a unique identity. It is very similar to most QMobile phones with the customary buttons at the bottom and the giant screen above. That said, the phone’s specs are an improved story.

The display stands tall at 5.5 inches and with a powerful backing of an IPS capacitive touchscreen at its backend is a juicy prospect. Unfortunately the pixel density falls much shorter for a 5.5 inch screen at 267 ppi and it’ll probably effect its display quality. Definitely not one of Huawei’s best displays.

The processing is much better particularly due to its Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A7 processor and 2GB of RAM. The processor is somewhat very similar to the Galaxy S4 which does lag a lot so expect some slowness. The cameras are its best trait. The primary comes in with a 13 megapixel sensor while its little brother features a 5 megapixel. Imaging well covered eh?

The conclusion is a little bit difficult for us to evaluate. The Huawei Honor 3X G750 does contain a huge display size but we think it might not get the support it needs from its pixel density. The processing would be just fine and at this price, the prospect of a 5.5 inches touchscreen might seem pretty appealing indeed. There definitely are better options though, particularly as the 3X G750 hasn’t got anything that gives it an edge. The decision? We leave that up to you.
