Huawei’s Honor C series has turned into the darling of millions of people around the world. These affordable excellent smartphones have a habit of serving something out of the box and the Honor 6C, who’ll dazzle the market shelves in late April 2017 with a launch price of 27,000 rupees, seems like it’ll keep up the reputation of its predecessors.
The Honor 6C features a simple design that goes on well with its good build materials; featuring a matt-finished metallic back panel with the front panel looking a lot like the Honor 8, we’re glad to see that the three capacitive buttons that used to reside on many Huawei devices are no longer there. The phone weighs in at a delicate 138 which is excellent news for aesthetics-savvy people.
That’s because the smartphone features a 5.0 inches 2.5D AMOLED curved edge capacitive touchscreen with 720p resolution. Everything apart from the 720p resolution in the previous sentence was great as we would’ve loved to see a 1080p HD display here. We’re in no-way denouncing the smartphone’s display but in all fairness the display should’ve spent a little more time in the gym.
The Honor 6C’s cameras department packs nothing out of the ordinary; its power-packed 13 megapixel sensor captures images of the highest order with all customary features such as geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, HDR and panorama also available for usage. For those who’ve personally used the Honor 4C, they’d understand the true worth of the power of Huawei’s 13 megapixel sensors.
The selfie sensor at 5 megapixels is adequate to say the least but we won’t call it the Honor 6C’s highlight by any means. For that it should’ve been at-least an 8 megapixel snapper.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor with 3 gigs of additive RAM. Fast enough to smoothly run the built-in Android Marshmallow, you’d be pleased by its everyday user experience. 32GB of internal storage is always music to the ears with an external card-slot always ready to be called upon in action.
A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner ensures you do not have to worry about security codes all the time while a 3020 mAh battery gives plenty of battery time to the smartphone. Dual-SIM capability and 4G support are another of its plusses with 3 different color schemes sitting pretty atop the Honor 6C’s exterior.
