Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, is no stranger to challenging the norm of smartphone limits. Introducing their latest example, the Honor Note 10! A beast in every aspect of the word, the Honor 10 is clearly flagship material. Priced at a relatively affordable price of Rs. 60,000, the Honor 10 is giving other flagships a run for their money.
The Honor Note 10 is a huge phone in every sense of the word. It is a whopping 177mm tall which naturally means it has a huge screen up front, but more on that later. Both the front and back are made of glass while the side frames are made of aluminum. Despite being a huge phone, the Honor Note 10 is only 7.7mm thin, which could make it difficult to hold in one hand as it will tip over and possibly fall out of your hands.
Above, the display is your front facing camera, sensors and earpiece. Below it is the Honor logo on the miniature chin of the device. On the back you have your vertical dual camera setup in the top left corner and fingerprint scanner in the middle.
With the advent of bezel-less displays, phones are being equipped with larger screens in smaller bodies. Honor thought, why not increase the screen size to the max, that is just below tablet territory. That’s right, the Honor Note 10 comes with a gigantic 6.95-inch screen with an FHD+ resolution. This screen is the biggest of any phone in the market to date. The pixel density comes up to 355ppi, which is not the highest but still a respectable number.
The screen is an AMOLED one so expect to see vibrant and punchy colors that are pleasing to the eye.
The Honor Note 10 has, like every other phone in the market today, a dual camera setup as its primary module. The main camera is a 16MP f/1.8 shooter with phase detection auto focus, whereas the secondary camera is a 24MP black and white sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. It also comes with phase detection auto focus. Video recording capabilities max out at 4k resolution at 30 frames per second.
The front facing camera is a 13MP one with an aperture of f/2.0 and it can record up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.
The hardware of the Honor 10 is what impresses especially when coupled with its price tag. For starters, the Honor Note 10 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for all your media consumption needs. Next, it’s powered by the powerful AI utilizing Kirin 970 processor, which is Huawei’s custom Snapdragon 845 competitor. Lastly, and the best part, is that the Honor Note 10 comes with an unbelievably huge 5000mAh battery. Yes, 5000mAh. That’s enough to last you more than a day and a half on even the extreme usage modes. The software of choice on the Honor Note 10 is Android 8.1 Oreo.
