Other than making cars, Porsche has a notable knack for being on top of some smartphone names. Why? We really don’t know but whichever device supports the name “Porsche”, it definitely calls on to you for shelling out some big bucks. Same is the case with the gorgeous Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design.
For a smartphone that costs around 80,000 rupees more than their simpler counterparts, you won’t get to see a huge difference in the build quality of the two. Granted the Mate 9 Porsche Design features its fingerprint scanner on the front panel unlike the Mate 9’s rear-mounted one, it still asks for way lotta money just for that.
Display wise, the smartphone features a 5.5 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 534ppi pixel density. Stunning graphics, like a Porsche Cayenne, are easily guaranteed atop the 1440p HD display.
Inherits its cameras from the Mate 9
We’re seeing a dual 20 + 12 megapixel primary sensor with OIS, 2x Zoom, LEICA optics, phase detection laser autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. That’s as feature-laden a primary camera can get. The selfie sensor stands duly at 8 megapixels.
Hardware sees some notable differences
Despite all three devices being powered by an octa-core processor, the Mate 9 Porsche Design offers 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage; that’s much higher than the other two offer. A 4000 mAh non-removable battery powers the device while fast charging and USB type-C are a definite must.
