2016 is seeing some of the most brilliant releases we’ve ever seen from Huawei. The upcoming Huawei Nova is a continuation of this trend and we were thoroughly amazed by what it has to offer. A release which truly epitomizes what Huawei is all about, the Nova is a true culmination of beauty and finesse.

Build quality and display

At first glance, we mistook the Huawei Nova as the Nexus 6P due to their similar build design. Upon getting to grips with it, we found that not only did the Nova feature a similar design to the Nexus 6P, it also comprised of similar build materials to it as well with a finely crafted metallic build and some sleek dimensions.

Its display is every bit as good as it seems on paper. Why? That’s because it features a 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 441ppi pixel density. You would have guessed it by now; yes it features 1080p HD resolution. The smartphone features one of the most optimized of Huawei’s designs ever as it features a 7.1mm width and despite of all that is stuffed inside the Nova, it weighs in a slender 146g which to put into simple words is absolutely fabulous.

Cameras

Like Apple and Samsung, Huawei has developed a reputation in producing some high quality cameras. The primary camera features a 12 megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus technology while the secondary camera features an 8 megapixel sensor. Both the cameras are well equipped to produce some stunning results while touch focus and face detection qualities in the primary sensor further adds to its prowess.

Hardware and software

This Nexus 6P look-alike features a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Cortex-A53 processor with an additive 3GB of RAM. This is more than enough to smoothly run the built-in Android Marshmallow while the internal storage stands at 32GB. The external memory card slot is an added bonus while dual-SIM support adds further gloss to its already glowing arsenal of features. Fingerprint sensor, Fast Charge and a non-removable 3020 mAh battery are some of its other notable mentions capping off another satisfactory release from Huawei.
