The Huwei Mate 10 Lite has turned out to be a huge hit for Huawei. So much so, that in our opinion, it’s the best smartphone under Rs. 30,000 with the Xiaomi Mi A1. Recognizing the impact the Mate 10 Lite has had on its sales, the company has decided to come up with another, similar looking smartphone in the Huawei P Smart that too priced at an affordable 35,000 rupees for the power-packed variant.
On first sightings, the smartphone was all Huawei when it comes to its front panel. Featuring a customary 2018 look that includes thin bezels, the Huawei logo proudly sits atop its bottom front bezel giving the smartphone twin-like looks to most other Huawei smartphones. When it comes to its back, the all-aluminum frame makes for some comparisons with the aforementioned Redmi 4X and many other HTC devices.
We’re pretty happy when it comes to the smartphone’s dimensions as a 7.5mm width and 165g weight are superb when it comes to a large sized and feature laden smartphone like the P Smart itself.
The P Smart features a known display quantity which is quite the norm when it comes to displays come 2018; we’re talking about nearly bezel-less, 18:9 aspect ratio displays. In simpler words, the display’s width is exactly twice the size of its length. Statistically, the 5.65 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 427ppi pixel density is fully prepared to cater for your savvy display needs.
The massive amount of pixel density allows the display to produce a beautiful 1080p HD resolution that ensures no graphics atop the Huawei P Smart go unnoticed.
Featuring another norm of modern day smartphones, the P Smart features a dual primary camera; in detail, we’re talking a 13 + 2 MP sensor with an LED flash. Other customary features include geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, panorama etc. We’re a tad surprised to see no phase detection autofocus here but that isn’t enough to discount the prowess of this bad boy.
The selfie camera features a large 8 MP sensor. We certainly believe that both sets of cameras are finely poised to cater for your snapping needs, wherever and whenever you want (considering your smartphone doesn’t run out of battery of course).
The P Smart comes in two variants as follows:
While the RAM and internal storage finely differentiate between the two, the powerful hybrid octa-core processor upon both the variants keeps the hardware ticking smoothly and the Android Orea running finely. The notable conclusion; P Smart promises to be 99% lag free.
Other important and noteworthy features atop the smartphone include an expandable card slot, dual-SIM capability and a responsive back-mounted fingerprint scanner. Fast Charging technology is another sumptuous addition to its already dedicated arsenal of features while a finely poised 3000 mAh non-removable battery juices the smartphone to ensure you get adequate battery life. Ending the Huawei P Smart are its black, blue, gold and rose gold colour schemes.
