The P8 Lite 2017 succeeds the older P8 Lite in tremendous fashion. However, one has to wonder what was Huawei thinking when coming up with the smartphone’s name as the P8 Lite 2017 not only improves upon the P8 Lite but it also packs a stronger punch than the P9 Lite. Commanding an expected price of around 25,000 rupees and a launch date close to 10th February, the P8 Lite 2017 is one of the perfect smartphones to kick-start your 2017 with a bang.
The above sentence says it all; the P8 Lite 2017 looks exactly like the Honor 8 from head to toe except for the fact that that the latter features dual primary camera lenses. A beautifully crafted body engulfed in a premium glossy metal body, the smartphone is a definite improvement upon its predecessor from all fronts. Its dimensions are extremely neat with a 7.6mm width and a 147g weight being the pick of the lot.
The 2017 P8 Lite features a screen that’s extremely well balanced from all fronts; not only does it house a splendid 5.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen but its 424ppi pixel density adds excellent strength in depth to it leading it to produce excellent graphics with vivid colors and supreme attention to detail.
Quite unsurprisingly and given Huawei’s prowess in producing excellent cameras, the P8 Lite 2017 features two excellent sensors that’re fully capable of punching above their weight. The smartphone’s primary camera features a powerful 12 megapixel sensor with an LED flash and specs that include geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR etc.
The selfie camera features a large 8 megapixel sensor which continues Huawei’s recent generosity when it comes to their secondary cameras. That leads to the smartphone making light-work of all kinds of photo and video-graphy so you simply need not to worry about any degraded camera performance in the P8 Lite 2017.
As you would’ve guessed by now, the smartphone is powered by a hybrid Octa-Core processor with an additional 3GB of RAM. That’s all you need to seamlessly run the built-in Android Nougat and with this amount of power, you can safely assume that lag will find it extremely hard to come by.
Its fingerprint scanner is back-mounted which, in our personal opinion, comes in handy compared to front-mounted scanners. All you need is a little-bit getting used to it. Its internal storage banks at 16 gigs with an external memory card slot also in attendance. A 3000 mAh non-removable battery is sufficient to meet your daily requirements bringing the curtain down on this excellent 2017 release from Huawei.
