The China based mobile phone manufacturer, Lenovo, is starting to cement its place into the Android market with the recent growing market share of Lenovo phones among the smartphone users with their much affordable phones with some powerful specifications. The A7010 dubbed the Vibe K4 Note is a direct successor to the K3 Note and is quite the device in terms of both design and performance.
The Vibe K4 Note comes with a 5.5” IPS LCD display just like the one found on the predecessor but that doesn’t mean it’s not good as 5.5” of display seems just about right for the average user. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and runs Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI. The K4 Note, just like its predecessor, offers Dual-SIM capabilities and supports LTE, 3G and 2G networks. The phone also comes with Dolby Atmos sound.
The phone comes with Android v5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box and is powered by a newer chipset than the one on the predecessor. The MediaTek MT6753 is packed with an Octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and comes with two options in RAM with 2 and 3 GB variants coming with different amounts of internal storage. The phone performs really well for the price bracket it belongs to.
The rear camera is still pretty much the same with a 13 megapixels sensor and a dual-LED flash. The new phone, however, comes with a phase detection autofocus that is going definitely going to make the camera focus a bit faster and better. The front camera is also pretty good with 5 megapixels that can capture some good light for selfies and video calling use. In terms of video recording, the phone records 1080p footage at 30 frames per second.
The battery has also received an upgrade in terms of amperage with 3300 mAh over the 3000 mAh found in the predecessor. Although the battery is slightly bigger, the back on the phone doesn’t come off, unlike its predecessor meaning the battery is non-removable. The phone also supports some new bands of Wi-Fi with support for a and ac band that wasn’t included in the band support of its predecessor.
