2016’s Q3 is finely poised to see 3 latest Lenovo devices in the form of the Lenovo K6 Note, K6 and K6 Power. All the smartphones target the mid to budget smartphone categories with little differences between them. The K6 Power has many similarities to its identical K6. With almost nothing to separate the two, we’re forced to wonder: “Why did they even need the K6 Power in the first place?”
Build quality and display
When we first heard about the K6 Power, we believed that it would be a reminiscent of what the Xperia X and Xperia X Performance are to each other. Such hasn’t turned out to be the case though. The K6 Power is more of a variant of the K6 rather than the K6 Note. However, when it comes to the build quality, all of these are 100% similar. A nice metallic build which has its fair share of similarities with some Huawei devices are enough to explain their exterior.
When it comes to the K6 Power’s display, it features a 5.0 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 441ppi pixel density. This translates into cutting edge 1080p HD resolution which is sure to take good care of even the smallest of graphical details. Stay tuned to PriceOye for its official dimensions and weight.
Cameras
Speaking of its cameras, they’re again purely identical to the Lenovo K6 with a 13 megapixel primary sensor and an 8 megapixel secondary sensor. The specifications suggest that the cameras will perform well enough. Though, it wouldn’t hurt to see phase detection in the primary camera’s arsenal. However, we’re satisfied with the selfie camera as 8 megapixels go well on a 5 inches screen.
Hardware and software
The K6 power is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Cortex-A53 processor. It is marketed in two variants with one being a 16GB and 2GB RAM one while the other is a 32GB one with 3GB RAM. Finances permitting, we’ll advise you to get your hands on the 3GB RAM variant as it is better equipped to run the built-in Android Marshmallow. Other than that, it features a similar 4000 mAh battery as the K6 Note does which guarantees ample battery life.
