If you don’t know about LG’s K series yet, the LG K10 2017 will surely provide you with an introduction you aren’t likely to forget soon. The smartphone can’t be called as a typical LG release as its built materials somewhat fall short of the mark but its design is LG through and through; let’s see if its specifications upholds its pedigree or not.
It is a successor to last year's LG K10.
Build quality and display
The K10 2017 like all of its siblings features a primarily plastic build. Unlike the cheaper K series smartphones, the K10 2017 brings back the typical LG design with the volume rocker and power buttons present at the back panel. A tinge of metal does reside between the smartphone’s front and back panels while its dimensions at a 7.9mm width and 142g weight is indeed very generous of LG.
The smartphone’s display features an LG G5 sized 5.3 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 277ppi pixel density. This allows a 720p resolution and just like the LG Stylus 3, the display bears the burden of keeping the smartphone’s price under control as this isn’t the first time we’re seeing toned-down pixel density but on a relatively large display.
The K10 2017’s cameras are a different story altogether as the device features two fine cameras; the primary camera features a 13 megapixel sensor with an LED flash that includes customary features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and panorama while the secondary camera features a 5 megapixel sensor who’d encourage you to take as many selfies as you’d like.
The K10 2017 is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core Cortex-A53 processor with a resounding 3GB of supportive RAM. These allow fine performance by the built-in Android Nougat and oh wait, there’s another LG device that comes with Android’s latest version out of the box.
The smartphone’s internal storage banks at an excellent 32GB with an external memory card also in attendance. A fingerprint scanner and a removable 2800 mAh battery are its other notable mentions and we’d draw the smartphone to a close by calling the K10 2017 a worthwhile release from LG.
