2016 has already seen the advent of LG’s premium flagship, the G5, it seems that the company simply wasn’t done yet. They’ve just announced the latest V20 which succeeds the highly successful V10. The V20 will not only challenge all other flagships but there’s a huge chance that it’ll usurp the G5 as LG’s best smartphone. Why? Let’s find out.
Display and build quality
The V20 features 100% flagship quality build material and specifications. The V20 keeps up strength to strength with its predecessor in build quality as this time around, it features an aluminum build but no unibody design.
Its display is surely to become one of LG’s best because of some heavy additions to it which include a 5.7 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 513ppi pixel density. This results in an almighty 1440p resolution which is crisply poised to provide its users with the ultimate graphical user experience. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 rightfully takes its place on the podium but we’re not quite sure as to why LG didn’t go with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as it debuted recently.
The V10 used Second Screen display technology and the V20 duly obliges in carrying the much loved feature forward. The smartphone is 7.6mm at its thickest which is a tad thinner than the G5.
Cameras
The V20 features similar camera technology to the LG G5 with a dual-lens primary camera of which one is a 16 megapixel sensor while the other is an 8 megapixel one. Its power just doesn’t end there as the camera is loaded with sumptuous features such as OIS, laser autofocus and super optical zoom. The secondary camera features 5 megapixels which is disappointing in our opinion. It should’ve at-least been an 8 megapixel shutter!
Hardware and software
The V20 is powered by a Quad-Core processor with an additive 4GB of RAM which is adequate enough to run the built-in Android Nougat. The V20 is one of the first smartphones to offer Nougat out of the box so make good use of it! It features 2 internal storage variants at 32 and 64 gigs while the fingerprint sensor, Quick Charge 3.0 and removable battery round off LG’s latest premium device.
