Highlights

Along with the G6, LG introduced the Xpower 2 at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona. While the former holds great promise to take LG to newer heights, the latter will hope to make a name for itself in the middle range of things.

Typically LG-ish design

The Xpower 2 is LG through and through as the smartphone features a similar thin bezel design while featuring a finely finished plastic back. Dimensions wise, it’s a tad thicker than what we would’ve liked it to be with an 8.4mm width while it weighs in at 162g which is ‘just’ fine.

Hmmm, we have ourselves a 5.5 inches display here

Not only that, this IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen features 267ppi pixel density. Allowing a 720p resolution, we’re not quite sure how the large display size will go with a slightly toned-down resolution. We’ll leave that up-to the benchmark testers to decide.

The cameras give plenty of reasons to cheer about

When you’ve got a smartphone that comes in with a 13 megapixel primary sensor plus a 5 megapixel selfie one, there’s definitely some reason to cheer about.

Is the Xpower 2 powerful enough?

That’s hard to say as the smartphone features an octa-core processor with 2 gigs of RAM. However, we’ll remain optimistic about its prowess but won’t guarantee you an absolutely lag-free experience atop the built-in Android Nougat.

16 gigs of internal storage with a memory card-slot are also present in the device while its crowning feature, an absolute beast of a 4500 mAh battery has more than enough juice in it to keep the Xpower 2 alive for a full-day on heavy usage (but not insanely heavy).
