A lot of the high-tech devices released in the last couple of years have been widely touted as the flagship killers. However, most of them have fallen short in their quest to topple the likes of the iPhone 7 Plus and the Galaxy S8. It seems like the OnePlus 5 has taken that entire burden on itself and with its specifications, it might just be the flagship killer everyone’s talking about.

Is that the iPhone 7 Plus matte black?

The OnePlus 5 looks like a fine copy of the aforementioned iPhone because of near-similar designs. The smartphone features an entirely aluminum build with nothing much to separate the two devices. Dimensions wise, the OnePlus 5 is again neck and neck with the iPhone 7 Plus with a 7.33mm width and 153g weight which are excellent dimensions to say the least. The only distinguishable feature between the two smartphones is OnePlus 5 using a Samsung styled home button compared to Apple’s round one.

Its display is a 5.5 inches Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi pixel density. Allowing a 1080p HD resolution, there’s no doubting the capability of this bad boy to produce crisp and clear graphics with good attention to detail.

Flagship grade cameras

The OnePlus 5 continues its flagship killing with a dual 16 + 20 megapixel sensor with loads of superiority-adding features such as EIS Gyro, phase detection autofocus, 1.6x optical zoom and a dual-tone LED flash. The selfie camera features a large 16 megapixel sensor of its own that equates to an ultimate snapping and videography experience on both fronts atop the smartphone.

More power coming your way

The OnePlus 5 is powered by an octa-core processor with the following variant dependent RAM and internal storage:

6GB RAM with 64 gigs of internal storage
8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage

Android Nougat is its preferred OS while Fast Charging (Dash Charge), USB type-C v2.0, 2 colour schemes and a 3300 mAh non-removable battery bringing an end to this sure shot flagship troublemaker.
