Oppo’s doing a stellar job in getting its message across in our country’s smartphone market due to its ability to produce exactly what the people in our country want. The F3 Plus with dual-selfie sensors is turning into a huge hit in our selfie-stricken country and the new A77 (costing just above 45,000 rupees) will further bolster its reputation as an excellent smartphone provider in Pakistan.
Oppo’s doing somewhat of a Samsung with its devices; we haven’t seen any tweaks to its sleek metal unibody design since the days of the Oppo A37 which is our only complaint as far as the design department is concerned. Other than that, the device’s sleek 7.3mm width is excellent while its 153g weight and build quality deserves applause as well.
Two of Oppo’s smartphones’ most notable characteristics are their large camera sensors and excellent displays. The same is the case with the Oppo A77 as the smartphone features a large 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi pixel density. Translating into a 1080p HD resolution, this perfect combination of a large display and HD quality will surely prove to be your cup of tea.
Oppo’s devices just have to feature excellent camera sensors. Their belief in producing camera-phones rather smartphones is something that has yielded many commendable devices as of late. The A77 expectedly features a large 13 megapixel primary sensor with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch-focus, HDR and panorama making the camera fully capable of satisfying your needs to the fullest without any doubts whatsoever.
The selfie sensor somewhat outshines its primary counterpart which isn’t the case with many smartphones out there. That’s because it features a gigantic 16 megapixel sensor that’s just about bigger than many primary sensors out there. The sensor produces excellent, wide-angled selfies with good colour but then again, this is what Oppo specializes in.
The Oppo A77 is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor with an additional 4 gigs of RAM. That’s just about as devastating a combination can get and it’ll yield supreme performance atop the built-in Android Marshmallow. Thankfully the world is moving away from 16 gigs being the base internal storage model and the A77 goes two steps ahead by offering 64 gigs of internal storage. That’s one of the strongest points of the A77 without a doubt that’s sure to tip a-lot of scales in its favour.
An external card slot up-to 256 gigs, a front mounted fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the home-key, dual-SIM, 3 colour schemes and a non-removable 3200 mAh battery are its other notable mentions. Impressive, yes?
