    Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ made a relatively quiet entry in to the smartphone world earlier in 2018 primarily because of the reason that there was no wow factor about the device. It was near similar to the Galaxy S8. However, that doesn’t means that the smartphone was lackluster. Instead, it featured a quite premium bezel-less design with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio display upfront. With bezels covering only around 16% of the smartphone’s front panel, the Galaxy S9+ is one of the prettiest bezel-less smartphones out there.

    Samsung Galaxy S9

Following the Galaxy S9+ is its smaller sibling, the Galaxy S9. Like its bigger counterpart, the smartphone did not receive an overwhelming response on its launch because of its near similarity with its predecessors. However, taking nothing away from its performance and looks, the smartphone is one of the best performing bezel-less smartphones out there with excellent hardware and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio display. Its aesthetically pleasing build further adds to its charm and despite its similarities to the S8, it’s a really good investment.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 8

It was definitely a matter of time before Samsung’s premium phablet flagship would go bezel-less. Following the Galaxy S8’s bezel-less design, out came the successful Note 8 with aplomb. The smartphone was designed nearly similarly to the Galaxy S8 but its build was more square-ish. This premium Samsung phablet was the company’s most expensive smartphone ever and for good reason; the device is the epitome of perfection and although its huge size may bother some, it definitely packs loads of goodies in its excellent bezel-less exterior.

The smartphone was one of the biggest bezel-less smartphones at that time and it was subject to immense popularity among the large screen lovers because of its excellent design, build quality and display. As already mentioned, the smartphone featured little to no bezels at all. That allowed the device to shelter a larger display within reasonable dimensions. An 84% screen to body ratio plus an 18.5:9 aspect ratio display are some numbers to rattle your taste buds.

    Samsung Galaxy S8

It was kind of a given wasn’t it that the Galaxy S8+ would be followed by its smaller sibling, the Galaxy S8? The smartphone was one of the first real bezel-less smartphones and its popularity kicked-off a new era in Samsung’s stranglehold atop the smartphone world, at least until the iPhone X came up. The smartphone was and is, one of the best bezel-less devices out there because of its 1440p Infinity display, superb performance and all-round aesthetically pleasing build. It was, to put it simply, an all-rounder.

    Apple iPhone X

Speak of the devil and the devil’s here. Apple’s famed and one of the first $1000+ smartphones, the Apple iPhone X, brought some stiff competition to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The smartphone’s notched design brought further display capacity atop the front panel and it can be argued that the iPhone X, not the Galaxy S8, was closer to being bezel-less. The smartphone needs no introduction as the iPhone X was simply stunning in all respects, including its tremendous price-tag!

Most people would see the Galaxy S8 as the first smartphone that featured what one can call as a nearly bezel-less display. However, that title goes to Xiaomi as the Mi Mix was the first smartphone whose display stretched from the very bottom of the front panel to its very top.

The Galaxy S8’s advent however was the first time that the world got to notice what the smartphones of the future would look like. The rumour mill has already started spinning about the smartphone manufacturers trying to make way for an entirely display-covering front panel but it was hard to see how would they be able to cater for the loss of the secondary camera and fingerprint scanner.

With many bezel-less releases come 2018, we have our answers in many different ways after companies improvised and came-up with amazing solutions. So, if you’re on the look-out for bezel-less smartphones, the following are the ones that are on top of the ladder at the moment come August 2018.
