QMobile and Jazz have teamed up to produce numerous entry level smartphones whose sole purpose is to ensure that the power smartphones bring to an individual is even more readily available to the masses. While they’ve produced some commendable devices in catchy prices, most of their devices have also fallen way short of the required standard; what about the Jazz X JS 1?
It is related to the Jazz X JS 2.
The JS 1 features a typically QMobile-ish design that we’ve grown accustomed to see from the Pakistani smartphone manufacturer. While the front three capacitive buttons might slowly be moving out of the picture in most of their recent releases, the JS 1 (like the Noir X32) somewhat rekindles legacy QMobile designs albeit with some bulky dimensions and weight.
Apart from a totally plastic build, the back does mimic metal a little bit but remember that it only seems like metal. It’s removable though allowing you to replace a degraded battery at will.
The device’s front panel features a 4.0 inches capacitive touchscreen with a lowly resolution believed to be around 480p. This automatically means don’t get your hopes high as the JS 1 won’t be giving much away when it comes to sharp graphics.
As with most entry level phones where their secondary cameras are altogether shown the door in a bid to keep their prices down, the JS 1 fortunately avoids that. The smartphone features two cameras albeit with very little quality as the primary camera features a rather weak 2 megapixel sensor but with an LED flash while the selfie sensor is even weaker coming in with VGA quality.
The Jazz X JS 1 is powered by a 1.0 GHz Quad-Core processor with 512 MB of RAM. This is nowhere near the power required to smoothly run the built-in Android Lollipop and you’re likely to face frequent lag. Its internal storage banks at 8 gigs of which 4GB is available for everyday use but an external memory card slot is present to spare its blushes. Be advised, use that wisely in order to avoid further slowing the smartphone down.
