We can now finally say that QMobile is a completely different piece of the puzzle altogether compared to what it was a few years ago. The company has made giant strides towards making the Pakistani market their own with some sumptuous releases and the latest QMobile J7 looks all set to keep this trend moving forward.
Build quality and display
The J7 is different to typical value for money smartphones because of its premium looks and powerful hardware. Very infrequently do we see metal body smartphones within these price ranges so kudos to QMobile for making that possible. Other than being metal, the J7’s back panel features what we know as a “Ripple finish” which is a characteristic that enables different pattern formations depending on the angle you’re looking at the smartphone’s back.
Speaking of its front panel, other than looking quite like the Huawei honor 4C, it features a large 5.5 inches display with 720p resolution. The screen size is good but unfortunately the resolution doesn’t really holds up well with the display size causing a tad pixilation of the display. Not QMobile’s best display by any means but a fine one.
Cameras
While not always performing up to the mark, QMobile is definitely upping its game not just in the cameras department but from all angles. After continually featuring compromising 8 megapixel sensors, they’ve stopped resting on their laurels and the J7 sees two finely performing cameras.
The primary camera features a 13 megapixel sensor with huge potential but not so many features like OIS or phase detection. Its 5 megapixel selfie sensor is also good and both the cameras will do their utmost to provide you with a satisfactory snapping experience, if not the best.
Hardware and software
The J7 features a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core processor with an additional 3GB of RAM. This is quite some power considering that the device is touted to cost just in excess of 18,000 rupees so we’re highly optimistic that the built-in Android Marshmallow will have no trouble settling in. Internal storage aplenty with a base capacity of 32GB while the 3100 mAh battery is also a cause for celebration.
