QMobile has been grasping quite a lot of market with their affordable and quite powerful phones for the price they set. All thanks to the recent implementation of the 3G and 4G networks, people have been dying to get their hands on smartphones that has support for these high-speed network bands. QMobile is certainly the front runner in our local scene with some great devices at very affordable prices such that all types of people are able to get access to smartphones. The Noir S2 is somewhat of a lower mid-range device and is certainly very affordable.

The Noir S2 is a more rounded phone compared to their most precious, the Z series, and rightly so due to its lighter weight hardware and affordable price tag. The phone has support for both 2G and 3G networks and also provides Dual SIM option. It was released late in 2015, and much like the other devices of recent times, boasts an IPS LCD at 5” and HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display. It packs quite a punch for the price. The pixel density at 294 ppi is really good as well.

It comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box and has a MediaTek chipset, much like many low-end and mid-rangers but that certainly doesn’t mean that the hardware is not good. It has a MT6580 chipset that has a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor along with Mali-400MP2 graphics. It has 1 gig of RAM that can certainly provide a nice experience of the OS. It has an internal storage of 8 gigabytes and can be expanded with a microSD of up to 32 GB.

On the rear of the Noir S2, is an 8 megapixels sensor that provides all the usual gimmicks involving touch focus, smile detection, HDR etc. and also has an LED flash to go along with it. On the front is a great 5 megapixels sensor that can also record video at Full HD 1080p resolution.

The phones only area of lacking is its battery power which is only 2000 mAh and it may be able to last a day with mild usage. Other than that, it is a great device for the price and is certainly going to last.
