QMobile has made quite a lot of fans in Pakistan because of their value for money smartphones commitment. This doesn’t mean that the company has never ventured forth into making hunkier devices but we all know that for an average Pakistani user, budget smartphones are the first go-to ones. Keeping that in mind, the company has released another budget device for the masses, the Noir S6 Plus, and it’s difficult to argue if it succeeds the previous Noir S6 or rather precedes it.
Build quality and display
The Noir S6 Plus is very different to its supposedly successor, Noir S6. The former featured a totally iPhone 6S-ish design but this baby has seen somewhat of an overhaul and has more similarities with Huawei made devices. Its back, though seems metal, is plastic but we’re amazed by how well it mimics metal.
On the front side is a 5.5 inches touchscreen with 720p resolution. We don’t really think that 5.5 inch touchscreens go well with 720p display quality so expect less sharp graphics. Nevertheless, the smartphone will definitely attract large screen lovers.
Cameras
This budget smartphone has tried its best to get many things right considering the price it is expected to command. So, we’ll be lenient but honest with the Noir S6 Plus. Its primary camera contains a rather small 8 megapixel sensor for a large display size but we’re satisfied with its 5 megapixel front snapper. That being said, it’s pretty hard to tell how the primary snapper will do considering it hasn’t really gotten big pixels up its sleeves while also unsurprisingly missing out on hunky features such as OIS or phase detection etc.
Hardware and software
The Noir S6 Plus is powered by a 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor with an added 2GB of RAM. Not the most powerful out there but we do believe it’s rather good for a smartphone priced just below 13000 rupees. Be warned though, lag is expected on the built-in Android Marshmallow.
16 gigs of internal storage plus an external card slot are its other customary inclusions while the fingerprint scanner on its back panel keeps the smartphone up to date with the ever growing smartphone world.
