We can finally say that QMobile is a completely different proposition altogether compared to what it was a few years ago. The company has made large strides towards making the Pakistani market their own with some sumptuous releases and the latest QMobile X700 Pro II looks all set to keep this trend going forward.
Build quality and display
The QMobile X700 Pro II is a slightly more powerful version of the X700 Pro. The smartphone features a design we’ve grown accustomed to seeing in QMobile devices and we’d absolutely love it if the company could stop implementing those three capacitive buttons on the bottom bezel and instead replace them with the way most smartphones make use of them as part of their displays ala Huawei Mate 9 etc. The dimensions of its predominantly plastic build stand at an 8.3mm width while a 166g weight seems odd given it’s plastic and features no dust or waterproofing whatsoever.
Moving onto its display; the smartphone features a 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480p resolution. That’s too low to go with a 5.0 inches display and we aren’t really optimistic that the display will come good. What exactly are 480p displays even doing nowadays?
Cameras
The Noir X700 Pro II features a set of cameras whose prowess we’re happy to see. We also feel contented to see the selfie sensor not seeing the door in an attempt to keep the smartphone’s price down and it rather features a powerful sensor contrary to what we previously thought it would. Both the camera sensors feature equivalent muscle, at 5 megapixels, which means you get to have equal power on both fronts.
Hardware
The X700 Pro II is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor with an additional 2GB of RAM. Whilst not enough to run the built-in Android Marshmallow, we’re very pleased to see the smartphone sheltering 2 gigs of RAM which is hard to fathom in a price range just below 10,000 rupees. Its internal storage banks at a respectable 16 gigs while a removable 2000 mAh battery and black/gold color schemes round off this value for money QMobile device.
