Galaxy A40 shares the look and feel of Samsung Galaxy A series from 2019. The phone is built with a plastic back with no shiny gradient finish like on the back of Galaxy A50 and A70. On front Galaxy A40 houses 5.9 inches Super AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone offers a teardrop notch design with minimal chin and side bezels. Due to the round edges, it is easy to hold in hand however the plastic back makes it slippery so a case is recommended for the durability of the device.  The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back of the device right in the upper half where the finger lands automatically to unlock the device.
