Let us compare Galaxy A6 Plus with A7, the two famous A Series phones from 2018, side by side here. Both phones were launched in 2018 with somewhat similar design and form factor. A6 Plus was released in May 2018 where A7 was released in October 2018. Build wise both phones share similar form factor however, A6 Plus is made out of aluminum and A7 is made out of glass adding a premium look to it. If we talk about the display both phones house 6.00 inches Super AMOLED panel with 1080x2220 pixels resolution with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. This would be safe to claim that the same display panel is used for both of the phones. If we look at performance, then A6 Plus comes with SDM 450 chipset where A7 houses Exynos 7885 chipset. Both are 14nm Octa-core processors. A6 Plus comes with 32GB/64GB storage options with 3GB/4GB of RAM where A7 offers 64GB/128GB storage options with 4GB/6GB of RAM. If we talk about cameras, then A7 takes the lead here with a triple camera setup on back including a 24MP standard lens, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor where A6 Plus comes with a dual camera setup including a 16MP standard lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. On the front, both phones are offering a 24MP selfie camera. Battery wise A7 is powered by 3300 mAh cell and A6 Plus takes a lead here with 3500 mAh battery. FP sensor on A6 Plus is placed at the back of the device where for A7 the FP sensor is embedded in the power button placed on the right side of the phone.

Does Samsung Galaxy A6 PLUS support fast charging?

The Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus lacks some fundamentals we expect to see in a phone at the price. It uses a micro USB socket to charge, rather than USB-C and doesn't support fast charging. A full charge takes around two hours of time which is way too much.

What are the camera specifications of Samsung Galaxy A6 PLUS?

The Galaxy A6+ (2018) comes with the same 16MP camera like the A6 (2018) and the A8 (2018) but adds an extra 5MP module for depth sensing. The primary cam's lens has an f/1.7 aperture and a 26mm equivalent focal length and relies on phase detection for autofocus. There's no OIS. The lens on the secondary cam has a fixed focus and an f/1.9 aperture. There's also a Live focus mode on the Galaxy A6+ (2018) or portrait mode, as others like to call it. After all, that's the only reason the 5MP module exists on the phone's back. It works on non-human subjects too, in a hit-or-miss fashion depending on the combination of subject and background.
