If there’s one Samsung smartphone we’ve absolutely fell in love with, it’s the Galaxy C5 Pro. Its other variant, the Galaxy C5 has achieved enormous success because of its beautiful body plus extensive features and the slightly improved Galaxy C5 Pro seems to be heading in the same direction. Commanding a starting price of 50,000 rupees and expected to begin rolling in end of March 2017, this is the Galaxy C5 Pro.
Just like the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, the Galaxy C5 Pro features a full metal unibody design that mimics many HTC and OnePlus smartphones. It has its fair share of similarities with the Apple iPhone 6S which you’ll only get to know if you’ve used both the devices, and we’re thrilled by its sleek dimensions and weight which equate to a 7mm width and 145g weight. It somehow misses out on dust and waterproofing but we’ll let that go for now.
Talking about its color schemes, Samsung hasn’t only come up with new names for them but their shades reflect something new from the company. The Maple Blue color stands-out from the rest with the Maple Leaf and Powder Rose colors not lagging far behind.
The Galaxy C5 Pro’s display is a 5.2 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 424ppi pixel density. This translates into a 1080p HD resolution that makes a strong partnership with the 5.2 inches display in bringing an excellent and crisp graphical user experience to its owner.
Samsung’s mid to flagship smartphones have always featured splendid cameras and the Galaxy C5 Pro follows into their footsteps. The smartphone features a rather plain 16 megapixel primary sensor with nothing such as OIS, phase-detection autofocus etc. but customary camera features such as geo-tagging, touch-focus, face detection, panorama and HDR which is the least we expected from the device. Nevertheless, one can never underestimate the power of 16 megapixel Samsung camera sensors.
The selfie camera features an equally competitive 16 megapixel sensor that’s sure to provide stiff competition not only to its primary counterpart but also to the many selfie sensors out there in the market.
Now this is where you’ll get to know why the Galaxy C5 Pro is called the C5 “Pro”. Pro smartphones are mostly different from their simple namesakes when it comes to processing power and this baby has the same characteristics. It’s powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core processor with an adequate 4GB of RAM. Probably one of the first Samsung phones to receive this much RAM, the built-in Android Nougat will simply not lag on the C5 Pro.
Other than that, the smartphone is marketed in a 64GB model while USB Type-C, Fast Charging, a fingerprint scanner and an okay-ish 2600 mAh battery rounds-off this catchy release from the South Korean giants.
