After their announcement regarding the Note7’s retirement, Samsung will undoubtedly step up its game to save its face. We’ve already heard about the Galaxy C series coming into form with the C5 and C7; now we’re getting reports that an even larger Galaxy C9 is also on its way.
Build quality and display
The Galaxy C5, C7 and C9 are to each other as the Galaxy A5, A7 and A9 are to one another. All the smartphones feature similar build materials, design and to some extent specifications as well. The Galaxy C9 features a similar metal unibody design to its predecessors and its design mirrors many HTC or OnePlus devices. The build material is excellent to touch while its dimensions aren’t out yet. Considering how sleek the C7 will be, we do expect the C9 to feature a near similar width.
Its display features one of the biggest screens ever on a Samsung device; we’re talking about a 6.0 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080p HD resolution and 367ppi pixel density. Now that’s what you call crispiness.
Cameras
The C9 is touted to feature two significantly large sensors. Both the front and back cameras will feature a 16 megapixel sensor. The primary sensor will also be complimented by a dual-tone LED flash but nothing such as OIS, laser autofocus or phase detection to talk about. But, take nothing away as Samsung’s cameras have a pedigree to outperform others. The 16 megapixel selfie sensor is immaculate news so we do expect the selfie crazy users to badly fall for the Galaxy C9.
Hardware and Software
The C9, apart from its aesthetics and all, is said to feature one of the most powerful hardware ever to be assembled inside a Samsung device. Apart from a Octa-Core processor, its 6GB RAM is what will make the headlines as the smartphone will become one of the few devices to hold such large quantity of RAM. The net result is the built-in Android Marshmallow giving a blazing fast performance while its internal storage banks at 64GB. Other than these, the smartphone features a fingerprint reader, Fast Charging and a large battery that’ll provide excellent battery life.
