The Galaxy J series sees somewhat of a revamp come 2018. These affordable mid-ranged smartphones were the darling of the masses for some time but due to immaculate competition from emerging Chinese manufacturers, Samsung had to think out of the box to keep the J series relevant. The Galaxy J4 is one of the latest flag bearers for this series.
The J series hasn’t been the most well-built or well-designed smartphone series. However, that has likely changed as the J4 showcases a nice exterior with good dimensions that include an 8.1mm width. The 172g weight is a tad above what we expected and considering its plastic body, that should’ve been toned-down a bit.
The J4 houses a large 5.5 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 267ppi pixel density. That allows a nifty 720p resolution which might not be the savvy experience you’re looking for but it’ll do well nevertheless to land some nice graphics atop the large display upfront.
There’s a reason the Galaxy J4 is budget-friendly; that’s mainly attributed to the fact that, under the hood, the smartphone doesn’t really house many features. Samsung j4 price in Pakistan is now as low as 18600 @ishopping. Samsung Galaxy J4 was released at a price of 20,000 but over time, as new models were released, the price decreased. With added taxes, the price of Samsung J4 in Pakistan increased again.
The primary camera of the device features a 13 MP sensor with an LED flash and customary camera features. The selfie camera houses a seemingly tame 5 MP sensor with its own LED flash. Both these might seem plain-old cameras but don’t forget they’re Samsung made!
Speaking of the hardware, we did expect a quad-core processor, which is there to be found. What we did not expect was 2 gigs of RAM. The smartphone’s internal storage stands at 16 gigs but you will get to beef it up to 256 gigs if required.
The fingerprint scanner goes missing while a credible 3000 mAh battery juices the device well. Colour schemes? You get black, gold and grey.
