Product Description

Samsung’s been doing a commendable job in shrugging-off its criticism of not producing excellent devices other than its premium ones. The J7 Max belongs to the upper side of things with the device being specially targeted towards the large screen lovers. Commanding an expected launch price of 40,000 rupees, the smartphone houses plenty of excitement and good specifications.

Premium build quality

The J7 Max is the biggest of all J series devices ousting the likes of the famed J7 Prime. Its designing takes inspiration from the 2017 J series devices with notable similarities with the J7 2017. A fine blend of metal and glass takes responsibility for its glossy looks while its dimensions seem a tad overweight; both an 8.1mm width and a 179g weight might seem a little excessive but hey! The smartphone’s almost a phablet.

Almost a phablet?

The smartphone features a large 5.7 inches PLS capacitive touchscreen with 386ppi pixel density. That’s all it needs to guarantee a 1080p HD resolution which pays dividends when combined with a large 5.7 inches display. A home theatre like experience awaits you on the Galaxy J7 Max.

One of its biggest strengths is here

Not only a big display, the J7 Max guarantees much bigger things; the smartphone comes in with a set of two huge camera sensors that have their very own LED flashes to push your snapping experience to the maximum. The primary sensor features a 13 megapixel sensor with autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama while the selfie sensor features an equally capable 13 megapixel sensor with the aforementioned LED flash of its own. Darkness is no longer an issue on the selfie sensor as its brightness will pave the way for more and more snapping.

Maximum performance, guaranteed

With the hardware the J7 Max packs underneath its hood, it isn’t surprising at all to expect a smooth user experience; we’re talking an octa-core processor with 4GB RAM. That’s exactly what the Android Nougat’s doctor ordered for a lag free experience so if its slowness or delay that puts you off, the J7 Max will do a good job in keeping you happy.

Its internal storage stands at 32 gigs which is always a news that everyone wants to hear in an upper-mid classed smartphone as the increasing camera and application sizes is slowly and steadily dwarfing the 16 gigs of internal storage. If that’s insufficient for you, an external card slot is there at your service as well. Its other notable features include a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-SIM capability, a 3300 mAh non-removable battery and 2 colour schemes (Gold and black) to choose its anatomy from. The smartphone misses out on dust/waterproofing, Fast Charge technology and USB type-C.

Galaxy J7 Max pros:
  • A large 5.7 inches 1080p HD display promises stunning graphics and the large display size will further add to your experience
  • Adequate amount of processing power will ensure that the built-in Android Nougat will try its best to outpace even Usain Bolt
  • 32 gigs of internal storage is always a pleasure to have
  • Two brilliant camera sensor with their own LED flashes is something that’ll surely tip more scales in its favour
  • Premium build quality and use of good build materials
Galaxy J7 Max cons:
  • Misses out on dust/waterproofing and Fast Charge technology

The camera is good but needs improvement and internal space is only 32GB, which is less for me.

Using this phone since 15 days. J7 Max has good ram and is very fast for a mid range phone. I also like the pre-install apps in this phone
