Samsung has continued its determination to become the best into Q3 of 2016 with one of its latest and greatest releases. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the Samsung Galaxy Note7. You might be wondering why Samsung took double promotions and jumped straight to the Note7 without any Note6 in place. We’re also not aware of this un-trendy like step from the Korean giants but what we do know is that the Note7 is a well cooked up meal capable of usurping the best in the business.
Body and Display
The Galaxy Note7 is the first flagship that only comes in with a curved display. Samsung’s other flagship bearer, the S7, comes in both normal and curved displays. With the Note7, Samsung has also brought a new trend forward and to put it into simpler words, the Galaxy Note 7 is just a larger version of the Galaxy S7 Edge with a stylus.
The Note7 has a beautiful 5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touch display with 518ppi pixel density. It expectedly offers a quite stunning 1440p resolution as well. Its build quality is phenomenal with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and dust plus water proof IP68 certified technology. Despite of all this, it’s only 7.9mm in width! That’s quite stunning!
Camera
Samsung has come up with something new in its cameras ever since the advent of the Galaxy S7. It offers the very same 12 dual pixel primary camera with OIS and phase detection technology which is known to take breathtaking photos in the darkest of conditions.
The front camera is also loaded with features with the same 5 megapixel sensor with auto-HDR capabilities. We must say, impeccably done with both the cameras.
Hardware and Software
The Galaxy Note7 is powered by a Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo Quad-core 2.3 GHz + quad-core 1.6 GHz processor with 4GB of RAM. We’ve gotten accustomed to this much processing power in Samsung’s devices but the Iris scanner is what we’re seeing for the first time in the Note series. A counterpart of the fingerprint reader, the Iris scanner can virtually do all things the fingerprint reader does which involve unlocking the device etc. Much to the delight of hefty smartphone users, the Note7 only comes in a 64GB internal storage variant and also contains an external card slot. Other than that, Fastcharge and USB type-c connector are its noteworthy mentions rounding off a truly remarkable release from the Korean behemoths.
