The Galaxy On series is Samsung’s India exclusive lower midrange lineup. The Galaxy On5 2016 is one of the phones in this lineup. With a price tag of roughly Rs. 25000, let’s see what the Samsung Galaxy On5 2016 has to offer.
Design and display
The Galaxy On5 2016 is a metal unibody phone which feels very nice to hold in the hand. It’s got rounded corners and is 8.1mm thin and weighs 142g. The front of the phone is where the home button and back/recent apps capacitive buttons can be found. Above that is the 5-inch display. The resolution of the display is 720p which means you’ll get a pixel density of 294ppi, barely passable. Luckily, the screen is a Super AMOLED, so colors will be punchy and nice.
Above the display is the front facing camera, earpiece and sensors. The back of the phone has these nice separators on the top and bottom with different color accents to the middle part of the phone, which gives a nice appeal to the eyes. In the upper middle is where the main camera is found alongside an LED flash. In the middle we can see the Samsung logo.
Cameras department
The Galaxy On5 2016 comes with a 13MP camera on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The main camera has auto focus to prevent blurry shots and an LED flash for low light images. The front camera takes detailed selfies. Both can record up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.
Hardware
The hardware on the Galaxy On5 2016 is ok for a phone at this price. We have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded by 256GB with an external memory card. The battery on the Galaxy On5 2016 is a 2600mAh cell which is pretty standard. The processor is an unnamed octa core chipset.
