Samsung is recursively coming up with brilliant smartphones in 2016 and the latest in line to follow is the upcoming Galaxy On7 2016. It seems like Samsung has finally learned the true value of “value for money” smartphones from the sprawling Chinese manufacturers as the previously greedy with hardware company has now opened its flood-gates.
Build quality and display
The Galaxy On7 2016 takes aim at the mid-ranged smartphones category bringing with it some understood characteristics; these include a customary Samsung-ish plastic build. While plastic may take the majority of the smartphone’s exterior, the On7 2016 also features a metallic frame separating the front and back panels.
Its display is one of its strongest points; a 5.5 inches capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi pixel density speaks volumes about itself. This translates into a 1080p HD resolution which makes for a deadly graphical experience on the smartphone. We’re okay with its 8mm width but the 167g weight, not so much.
Cameras
Like its display, the On7 2016 features two excellent camera sensors. The primary camera features a 13 megapixel sensor with an LED flash. Not many flashy features to talk about here but the large sensor seems fully capable of producing some slick photo and video-graphy.
Its selfie camera, on any other day, would’ve been a primary camera; a large 8 megapixel front sensor needs no further introduction. Both the cameras are fully capable of presenting a legitimate case of supremacy for themselves and we won’t even argue for a moment about that.
Hardware and software
The On7 2016 is powered by a 2.0 GHz Cortex Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. We don’t really see this much of processing power within these price ranges so we’ll definitely give the On7 2016 an A here. The Android Marshmallow on top and 32GB internal storage underneath further ads to its prowess while the fingerprint sensor and Fast Charge technology keeps the smartphone on its toes ensuring that it does not feel outdates in any way.
To finish it off, 4G LTE support is another spec worth mentioning while the non-removable but fairly large 3300 mAh battery is likely to promise adequate battery time.
