Is Samsung S10e any good?

S10e is the most premium budget device that we will be seeing in 2019. This device is in direct competition with the iPhone XR providing so much more in a smaller package. If you want the latest punch hole design from Samsung and all the new glittery specs and you are not willing to pay the hefty amount of $1000 for a phone than S10e is the option for you as it will be much lighter on your pockets. Samsung has included all the major ingredients in this phone while it demands so much lesser from you in return in terms of price.

Does Samsung S10e has an older processor?

The Samsung Galaxy S10e comes with the blazing fast Snapdragon 855 in the United States and Samsung Exynos 9820 in rest of the World same like the S10 and S10+. So all those rumors regarding the usage of old processors in the budget model of Samsung Galaxy S10 series died with the launch of S10e. Other than this the phones comes with gigantic 6GB of RAM and Samsung’s One UI on top of Android 9.0. Samsung is claiming that the new processors will not only enhance the performance of the phone but also will help boosting the battery efficiency in day to day tasks.  

What is the difference between Galaxy S10 and S10e?

Galaxy S10e is the smallest of all three variants announced on Feb 20^th however, this device is not skipping too much as compared to the other two models. Starting at $749.99, this phone lacks some of the more advanced features of S10 which I don’t think most of the people will be missing. The main difference lies in display size where S10e comes with 5.8” of display while the S10 comes with 6.1”. Resolution wise, S10e comes with FHD+ resolution while S10 comes with dynamic WQHD display. This is to mention that S10e has revived the flat screen display of Samsung same like S7. So if you just hate the curved display of the Galaxy S series than this year you have got a decent option to skip that. Battery wise the S10e comes with 3100 mAh battery as compared to 3400 mAh cell of S10. If we talk about cameras, then the S10e is housing dual camera sensor with a regular lens with dual aperture and the ultra-wide angle lens however the third telephoto lens is missing. The front facing cameras of both phones are same as both S10 and S10e have a single selfie shooter. Off course, how can we forget the fingerprint scanner. The other major difference between S10 and S10e lies in the fingerprint sensor. Samsung has introduced a new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underneath the display of both S10 and S10+ however, this is not the case with S10e where the fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power key which is sized bit larger than the normal power keys of Samsung phones. Performance wise the S10e comes with 6GB of Ram with the base model as compared to the 8GB of RAM with both the S10 and S10+. 6GB of RAM is what we are using in Note 9 and S9+ from the previous generation of Samsung’s flagships so that might not be the deciding factor in our opinion.  That is all with the difference, if you want the maximum experience of Samsung’s new generation of galaxy while you are a bit shorter on budget than S10e will not disappoint.

Is S10e bigger than S9?

Galaxy S9 came with the display size of 5.8” along with symmetrical bezels on top and bottom just like the S8. However, S10e is announced with the same display size but the bezels are smaller than the S9. Not to forget that the S10e is using the punch hole design which enabled it to further lowering down the top bezels. So, talking about the form factor, S10e feels smaller than S9 in hands.
