Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS
5 MP Autofocus Camera With LED Flash
1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 Processor, 512 MB RAM
Good lag-free Camera, Dust and Waterproof Design
The Sony Xperia Go takes on the lower-end Android phones in the market along with its dust and waterproof design. Coming with a colorful design and great sandpaper-textured back, the Go still manages to protect itself from water and dust. Sony claims that this phone is capable of surviving underwater for 30 minutes at up to 1m depths which will be more than enough for most people. A bright 3.5 Inch 320 x 480 LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen is present on the front with three touch-sensitive buttons on the bottom for back, home and menu functions.
Like most Android handsets today, this phone is upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS but runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread by default. Sony has kept its customizations to a minimal, which is a good thing as the Android OS has matured enough to be beautiful on its own.
There is also a 5 MP Autofocus Rear Camera With LED Flash which managed to output surprisingly good results without showing any lag.
Operating this phone is a 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 chip with 512 MB of RAM. In simple words, these specs were easily able to handle the Xperia Go. Powering this phone up is a 1305 mAh battery which can provide you with a decent enough standby time of 520 hours and a talk time of 6 hours 30 mins on 2G/5 hours 20 mins on 2G.
GPRS, GPS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can also be found on the Go.
Not exactly a high-end phone, but it easily worth the price tag and is a very well-thought phone for budget users, especially in Pakistan.
