Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS
5 MP Autofocus Camera With LED Flash
1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 Processor, 512 MB RAM
Floating Touch Display

Taking its design cues from Sony’s latest NXT lineup, the Xperia Sola is the Japanese company’s latest smartphone that comes with one exceptional piece of technology, a floating touch display. Basically, this lets you hover your finger over the screen and control some functions like controlling the homescreen or navigating through the default Android browser without even touching the screen. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Sony Xperia Sola has a 3.7 Inch 480 x 854 LED-backlit LCD display. The screen is also made from Scratch-resistant glass to keep it nice and clean.

It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread but since December, it has been upgraded to Android 4.0 ICS giving you a handy lot of additional features.

The processor used by the Sola is a 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 processor along with 512 MB of RAM. It may not be that powerful, but it is pretty good for a price range like this. Powering this up is a 1320 mAh battery which’ll give you a good enough standby time of 470 hours and a talk time of 6 hours on 2G/5 hours on 3G.

Overall, the main highlight feature of this phone is the floating touch technology that will be good enough to fascinate you as well as your friends. Along with that, you will find all the connectivity features in the Sola like GPRS, GPS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth supported by carriers in Pakistan.
