For a decade or so, there has been a boom in heavy gaming in smartphone world. To meet the growing need for gaming phones many renowned brands entered the field and came up with customized smartphones for gaming purposes. The Xiaomi Black Shark Helo is one of them. It was introduced in late 2018 in Pakistan and is quite an updated version of its predecessor Black Shark.

Design

The Black Shark Helo has inherited some of its body features from its forerunner. The Shark Helo is black in color carrying dark themes so that the display stands out.

The Game Handles

Black Shark Helo comes with a double-wing handle for gaming. Compared to the first generation this is more compact and easy to use. This handle also has a USB port for charging. For your information, two variants of Shark Helo 6 GB and 8 GB RAM come with a dual-wing handle whereas the 10 GB version has handles on both left and right side.

Apart from that, the overall gaming experience is good. The handest stayed stable throughout the duration of the game and image quality was also good. The graphics and resolutions were very well produced. The only setback was that the Shark Helo got heat up real soon. Yet again the liquid cooling system could not last its effects for a longer time.

Display

The Black Shark Helo comes with a 6 inch AMOLED screen that is compatible to support a wide range of HDR colors. Hence, making the display looks more vibrant.

Software

The Black Shark Helo is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that works in coordination with Android version 8.1. In addition to that, it comes in three variants differentiated on the basis of  RAM and internal storage of the device. You can choose from 6/8 GB RAM with 18 GB memory and 10 GB RAM with 256 GB built-in memory. The overall performance of the smartphone was smooth and considerable. The phone usually doesn’t get stuck or take time to launch. Switching from one application to another is also hassle-free.

Camera

The Black Shark Helo has a dual rear camera 12 megapixels and 20 megapixels. Furthermore, there is a 20 MP front camera. The Helo is not focused on cameras but still the quality and working of cameras are quite decent. The images taken are acceptable and can be used for your social media purposes. It goes without saying that light conditions may alter the image quality so it requires good lighting to develop nice images.  

Battery

The Black Shark Helo is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery which is a great powerhouse for all the gamers. So that they can enjoy games without running short of power more often.
