After officially releasing some brilliant devices in Pakistan, Xiaomi’s looking to add fresh blood to its already glimmering arsenal of excellent smartphones. The Mi 6 seems to be the one for the podium this time around and with a launch price and date of 38,000 rupees and mid-May 2017, the smartphone will definitely win over the masses in no time.

Its design mimics Huawei’s Honor 8 with some style

The Honor 8 was one of Huawei’s most beautifully designed smartphones ever. Xiaomi has followed suit and it can well be argued that the Mi 6 takes some inspiration from the aforementioned smartphone’s design. Featuring a dual-glass panel design with the back panel curving inwards into the metal frame, the Mi 6 is as good as anything can get. Its 7.5mm width is excellent considering the smartphone provides splash resistance while the 168g weight is just a tad-overweight.

Display: adequately sized, packed with quality

The Mi 6’s front panel is home to a 5.15 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 428ppi pixel density. Equating to a 1080p HD resolution, the display ensures that no details go unnoticed putting forth a stunning graphical user experience for all its suiters.

Xiaomi goes dual-lens

Probably one of Xiaomi’s first ever dual-camera lens smartphones, the Mi 6 is equipped with two beastly sensors on its front and back panels. The primary camera features a dual 12 megapixel sensor with some excellent camera features that include OIS and phase detection autofocus. Its ability to zoom to incredible lengths is one of its unique traits and a dual-tone LED flash adds more muscle to your night time imagery.

The selfie sensor stands at a nifty 8 megapixels which is the least one would want from a selfie sensor in this era.

Let’s delve into the hardware shall we?

The Mi 6 contains a plethora of features underneath its hood. Beginning with a hybrid octa-core Kryo processor with a gigantic 6 gigs of RAM, the smartphone holds the distinction of being one of the world’s first devices with this much amount of RAM. The latest Android Nougat v7.1.1 will absolutely see no lag whatsoever meaning that the Mi 6 is your ticket to the fast lane.

The smartphone is marketed in 64 and 128GB internal storage variants but without an external card slot. A Samsung-ish front mounted fingerprint scanner was always a foregone conclusion with USB type-C ensuring the smartphone meets all modern standards. Fast charging capability ensures you get the maximum out of the device’s 3350 mAh non-removable battery which in itself is capable of providing adequate battery life. Considering you’ll be getting all of this within 40,000 rupees, we’re dead-sure that the Mi 6 goes down as the hottest diva in town.
