Xiaomi has proven its reputation as a giant killer in all aspects of smartphone technology. This Chinese manufacturer was probably the first of its kind that brought the world to believe that high-end specifications do not necessarily mean they command a high price and the Redmi 3 further escalates its legacy to another level.

Body and Display

With the amount you’ll have to pay for it, it is very hard to believe the excellent build quality the Redmi 3 has to offer. The smartphone is largely composed of aluminum unibody which has a stunning feel but on the other hand, provides excellent protection as well. The camera is one of the most sought after features in any smartphone. In recognition of this anonymous fact, Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes in with two competitive ones. The primary camera comes in with a hunky 13 megapixel, f/2.0 aperture lens with LED flash. With phase detection capability, it is a guarantee in itself for crystal clear photography. The front camera boasts 5.0 megapixels with a f/2.0 aperture sized lens which brings a happy ending to the Redmi 3’s camera category.

Hardware and Software

With the amount you’re paying for this baby, neither of us could fancy seeing a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor with 2GB of RAM stacked inside this powerful beast. The 16GB of expandable internal storage is another one of its plusses and the aforementioned processors plus RAM seem finely poised to run the Android v5.1 Lollipop on it. Beautifully crafted, finely optimized and cluttered with competitive specifications, the Redmi 3 has Xiaomi written all over it.
