The Redmi Note is Xiaomi’s most successful brand since it brings large phones with great specs at a low price. But with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi have outdone themselves. Priced at roughly Rs. 28,000 let’s see what this phone has to offer.
Curvy, with a big display
As is with phones nowadays, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is equipped with an 18:9 display. However, since this is a budget phone, there are still thick bezels on the top and bottom of the phone. The screen is an IPS LCD one with an FHD+ resolution bringing the pixel density to 403ppi.
The phone itself is pretty curvy looking thanks to the rounded corners it has. The choice of material for the device is metal whereas the front is made with glass. Above the display are the standard sensors and front facing camera. The back is where you’ll find the iPhone X-esqe dual camera setup and a finger print reader positioned nicely towards the middle
Amazing cameras for the price
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a dual 12MP+5MP setup as its main module. The main camera has phase-detection auto focus whereas the 2nd one is for depth focus. The image quality is pretty and in general are very respectable for any caliber of phone cameras.
The front of the phone houses the 20MP selfie camera and LED flash for low light selfies. Pictures have immense amount of details and the quality comes out as pretty good. Both the back cameras and the front one record in 1080p at 30fps.
Hardware unseen at this level of the market
What makes the Huawei Note 5 Pro so special are the paper specs it has which are bound to make a huge difference in real world usage. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 636 processor which is plenty faster than what the competition uses. It also comes with 4/6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The battery is also a huge 4000mAh one so expect to be able to use this phone for a while. Sadly, the Redmi Note 5 Pro ships with Android 7.1 Nougat.
