The Desire series continues with the ever premium-looking HTC Desire 12. The smartphone resides more on the customary side of things as it’s equipped with lots of stuff you’re already familiar with. Time to delve deeper into what this Rs. 15,000 commodity has to offer.
Built and designed premium-ly
The smartphone is all HTC in a sense that it mimics many other devices from the Taiwanese tech-giant. Other than featuring an all metal unibody design, the smartphone’s back panel promises aesthetics as well.
A large display with acceptable quality
The Desire 12 features a large 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 293ppi pixel density. Allowing a 720p resolution, we’re not a 100% sure about the display’s prowess. However, considering HTC’s known prowess when it comes to producing excellent displays, we’re optimistic about its all-round performance.
Customary cameras and well… improved hardware
The smartphone’s camera set features a powerful 12 MP primary shooter with phase detection autofocus, LED flash plus customary camera features. The PDAF ensures purposeful photography while the 5 MP selfie snapper is a relatively low-key secondary snapper. Expect some good results from these two brethren.
Hardware wise, the smartphone promises improved specifications that include 32 GB of internal storage. Power wise, the smartphone is powered by 3 gigs of RAM and an octa-core processor to run the Android Oreo which is very adequate. Other than that, you also get other features that include an external card-slot, 2730 mAh non-removable battery and black, gold and silver colour schemes.
