Huawei's flagship smartphone is the P9. It has been highly praised for its design and dual-camera configuration. But, for targeting a wider audience, you'll need a light price tag. This is where the P9 Lite comes in. The P9 Lite provides spectacular specs and for a price around mid-range smartphones.
Design and Display
The P9 Lite's design is eye-catching. The thin and glittery body really fixates your eyes on it. The phone is light as well, weighing around 147g. It has a uniform body, there isn't any camera bulge which would otherwise negate its beautiful design language.
The 5.2" Full HD IPS display releases bright colors onto the screen. Subsequently making video playback a luxury. With no buttons on the bottom, Huawei could have easily made it much more bezel-free. The Huawei written on the front could have been moved to the back for space required to make a bezel-free design.
Camera
The P9 Lite has a 13MP back camera paired with an 8MP front camera. They can both, shoot Full HD video. Both cameras reproduce stunning image quality. They are so good that you will want to replace your eyes with the back camera. The panorama and HDR are handy in various photography situations.
Hardware and Software
It has a Quad-Core 2GHz and a Quad-Core 1.7GHz processor. Along with 2 or 3GB RAM, this smartphone will be an unstoppable force of power. The P9 Lite has 16GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 256GB of endless space. I would like to mention the speakers, which sound amazing. You can't find speakers like these on smartphones today. The 3000mAh battery pack runs exceptionally well, even with heavy use.
The P9 Lite runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Emotion UI. You can always change the launcher with the customization provided in the PlayStore. The fingerprint scanner works pretty quickly. I really like the feature that, if you place your finger on the scanner, it unlocks the phone without you having to turn the phone on first.
