In the past 5 years or so, Chinese manufacturers have blown apart the smartphone world because of their tendency to provide high quality specifications on the cheapest amounts possible. While Lenovo is mostly synonymous with people who’re laptop crazy, it has expanded into smartphone manufacturing through some wonderful releases which include the ZUK Z1. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is its most recent increment and boy has it done well to make the company proud.
Body and Display
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is composed entirely out of polycarbonate. The material is so finely polished that at first we mistakenly took it as being made of aluminum. The front features the touchscreen and the customary three capacitive buttons required to operate the device. 8mm width is also acknowledgeable.
The display features a 5.0 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 441ppi pixel density. 1080p resolution is guaranteed through the provision of a tremendously high pixel density and we can say with confidence that in this amount, the Vibe K5 Plus provides the largest pixel density. Meaning far sharper graphics.
Camera
The cameras, though with large sensors, are plain on features and in this amount of cash we did not expect otherwise. The primary camera features a 13 megapixel sensor with LED flash whereas the secondary camera features a 5 megapixel sensor. Both seem devoid of features but the megapixels hold great promise as they seem fully capable to snap good quality images on the Vibe K5 Plus’s 5.0 inch touchscreen.
Hardware and Software
The smartphone looks finely poised to run the stock Android v5.1 Lollipop through the smooth combination of its Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor with a supportive 2GB of RAM. This amount of clock speed and heavy duty RAM has literally blown our expectations apart. The internal storage has also kept up with the rest of its features by offering a base amount of 16 gigs which you can expand up to 32GB by adding a memory card when required. Another one of its plusses include the Removable Li-Ion 2750 mAh battery which can be replaced in event of a degraded battery making for a complete smartphone by Lenovo.
