The Galaxy C5 is a downsized version of the Galaxy C7. Changes in its specifications allow it to have a cheaper price. There is a price difference of 10,000 rupees, adding more value for money for the Galaxy C5. But, is it better to buy the C5 rather than the C7? We shall discuss this in detail.
Design and Display
The Galaxy C series is loved a lot due to its majestic and minimal design. Nothing too fancy. Just a good smartphone with excellent design language. It’s lighter than the C7 (C5 is 143g and C7 is 165g), thus being much more comfortable during one-hand use.
The 5.2” display is easier to handle. It has a 424 PPI density allowing you to see crisp images and bright colors compared to the 386 PPI of the C7. The full HD and Super AMOLED display gives you stunning video playback.
The C5 has a 16MP back camera and an 8MP front camera, both with an aperture of f/1.9. This amount of aperture is ideal for taking pictures at night or indoors. You should expect to have great image quality, especially the price you are paying for this phone.
Hardware and Software
The C5’s specs are more or less the same as the C7’s. It has 4GB RAM with an Octa-Core 1.5GHz processor compared to C7’s 2GHz processor. The C5 comes with 32/64GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 256GB with a microSD card. It has a 2600mAh battery which will last equally as long as the C7 due the reason that the C5 has a smaller screen and less power guzzling processor.
The C5 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI. You won’t get any sort of bloatware. Only your basic apps, like calendar, calculator, file explorer etc. Samsung handles the software end of its smartphones nicely.
If you like huge phones and don't have any budget issues then you should go for the C7. Users like us love smaller phones. They are more compact and portable. That's why we would go for the C5.
