Samsung has been doing a commendable job when it comes to producing smartphones on both the higher and lower ends of the smartphone chain. This has surely allowed it to win the hearts of millions of people around the world who NEED facilities smartphones offer but on the other hand, cannot afford to buy expensive smartphones like the iPhones.
Samsung’s Core named smartphones are a mixture of low to medium priced smartphones. They’re designed in a way to make them accessible to the masses. With good specifications compared to the prices they’re sold in, they’re a really attractive proposition for people who do not have much cash to spend. If you’re one of these, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a good option to look upto.
The Galaxy Core Prime is a nice and handy smartphone with everything you’d need. Designed in a typically Samsung manner, we find its 130g weight very appealing. With a 4.5 inches 207 ppi pixel density capacitive touchscreen, it will be a pleasure to remain busy into.
The performance is beefed up through the Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 powered by 1GB of RAM. On paper this looks like a lot but unfortunately, like most other cheaper Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy Core Prime also lags a lot after some months of usage particularly if you upgrade its in-built Android v4.4.4 KitKat to the 5.1.1 Lollipop version.
The camera features a 5 megapixel and f/2.6 aperture sized lens. We’re not too sure of how it will do on a 4.5 inches screen and our views remain similar on the 2 megapixel secondary camera. If the camera would’ve been 8 megapixel at the back, the device would’ve attracted more suitors. The internal memory will seem to be a cause of concern at first but the option to expand it further to 64GB will calm some nerves down.
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a notable option if you’re in a budget extensive situation. The smartphone can do almost anything bigger smartphones can do except for the hunky features such as fingerprint sensor, ultimate performance etc. but all in all at this price range, it is sure to catch your attention.
