Due to the tremendous success of new-coming Chinese manufacturers, companies like Sony have taken a big hit to their share in the smartphone market. That has led to the company placing more impetus on its devices and as a result, the vastly improved Xperia XZ1 is upon us.
Exactly like its predecessors
The smartphone mirrors all of its predecessors; it’s identical in built materials to the Xperia XZ, XZs etc. with a dual-glass panel design and relatively thinner bezels than before. IP68 certified dust/waterproofing adds to its strength although compromising a little on its width and weight.
A 5.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 424ppi pixel density resides peacefully atop its front panel. Corning Gorilla Glass protection further elevates its 1080p HD resolution leading to a greatly improved graphical experience.
Sony’s cameras never lack firepower
The smartphone features an excellent 23 MP primary sensor with OIS, Gyro and laser phase detection plus autofocus. That’s a lot of hunky features to talk about in one go so you can easily guess what its snapping prowess would be like. The selfie sensor features a 13 megapixel sensor so we’re all good here.
Hardware keeps up the promise
The smartphone’s Android Nougat is powered by an octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM. 64/128GB of internal storage are sumptuous amounts while USB type-C, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, fast charging and a non-removable battery being the smartphone’s other powerhouse features.
